what we ate: christmas edition

christmas eve eve, he made THE BEST beef stew (which he calls pot roast, but i’m not sure really is pot roast. what it is, though, is delicious).

also, did you see my new turquoise cast iron enamel pot?? i swoon.

christmas morning, we had stollen and coffee with cinnamon. mmmm, stollen. (more to follow on that.)

then, while i was making christmas dinner, i put out a wee snack.

for christmas day dinner, i made cioppino – a san francisco fish stew – with mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, and squid. and of course, crusty sourdough bread.
