snowed in? cabin fever? need a project? check this out.

as one of my all-time top five favorite foods (along with chocolate-covered pretzels, sandwiches, cereal and that bay-scallop and duck confit dish at black salt), when i saw a recipe for homemade bagels, i just had to try it.

actually, this was a challenge i took on back in the summer, but it’s taken me a while to decide how to show the recipe, since it’s fairly long and complicated, although not terribly difficult. (the entire process took about two and a half hours.)

so here is the pictorial version, and here is the full recipe if you want to take it on yourself!
