salmon, goat cheese and capers

an easy and elegant appetizer or light dinner. best served with white wine or champagne!

start with slices of bread. here we used a multigrain baguette. the baguette shape produces good-sized slices.

you can toast them if you’d like, but it’s not necessary.

then schmear on cream cheese or goat cheese (used here), and top with slices of smoked salmon and capers. thinly-sliced red onion or shallot would be fine, too, if you’re (absolutely out of your mind crazy and) not a fan of capers.

  1. I have never had salmon with goat cheese, but I can imagine it would be amazing!
